BOARDING, KENNEL & DAYCARE SERVICES
Long periods of solitude can cause many problems with your pet. Daycare is a great alternative to leaving your pet alone for extensive periods of time.
Our advanced training and boarding philosophies allow most dogs to play and live together in large open fenced in areas almost all the time! Usually only seperated for feeding or behavioral time-outs. Social, behavioral and outdoor skills are increased with every stay.
Let me tell you a little bit about who we are and what we do. We have two beautiful 5 acre outdoor boarding and training facilities. Our founder, Shawn Riley, a well-known canine behaviorist with over 35 years of hands on boarding and training experience, developed our philosophy which allows us to have most dogs out in a group safely, which is very important to most people. (pause for imput) Usually the only time they are confined is when they are either being fed or in some sort of disciplinary time-out.(barking, destruction fo property, agression or some other rule infraction) Or some other situation like yard care or extreme weather. There is seldom a situation or circumstance that we cannot accommodate regarding you and your dog.
Our goal is for every dog to have the option of being out loose in 1/4 to 2 acre open areas with other dogs 24/7. In order to have a healthy, safe group of dogs out loose together it is neccesary to have the trust and respect of the entire pack. In order to have the trust and respect of the entire pack you must have the trust and repect of each individual dog. We do everything possible to insure the safety and well-being of all of our dogs. We do not use any treats, clickers, choke chains training collars or training devices of any kind as motivational base for any of our training.
We accomplish this by putting each dog through a refined step by step process. Through this prosess we achieve several important goals 1)A repor of mutual trust and respect 2) understanding of each individuual dog personality, temperament and disposition. 3) Un unquestionable authority in the dogs eyes to make all important pack rules. In order to achieve this goal, every dog must go through a one time professional, behavioral evaluation.
Here is what the evaluation entails: drop dog off early one morning , pick up early the following morning. During this 24 hour period your dog will go through several steps which include:
- leash work and appropriate inside task work
- fun and getting to know us time
- anti noise-making therapy
- introduction to group and outside areas
- appropriate monitoring of all outdoor and group activities
- any necessary corrections
Your evaluation also includes a free personal consultation from our founder and head trainer regarding your dog’s temperament, personality, behavioral issues, and training suggestions.
